 I’m Cortney — Founder, Mother, and Visionary behind Ash and Bloom Brave Flame™, a trauma-informed, faith-rooted sanctuary for families navigating pediatric burns, medical crisis, and emotional recovery.

Her Leadership Is Lived

Cortney’s leadership is shaped by over a decade of formal education and training in:

- Trauma-informed care and emotional safety  
- Emotional intelligence and symbolic storytelling  
- Fierce protection of her mission and message  

She brings a rich and diverse background that includes:

- Law Enforcement and Education  
-  Former Certified First Responder   
- Crisis Intervention training  
- Therapeutic, Non-Defensive, and Defensive Tactics  
- Six years of deep engagement in the medical field, with a focus on patient recovery and caregiver advocacy  
- Certified Handle With Care Instructor, specializing in trauma-informed behavioral safety  
- A soul-led calling in the mental health field  

 Currently, Cortney serves as Training and Compliance Manager for a Licensed Healthcare Provider under Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS). She leads staff training and ensures legal regulatory compliance across trauma-informed care programs—blending emotional intelligence with compliance oversight. Her work includes curriculum development, caregiver coaching, and system audits to uphold safety, dignity, and healing.

She is also:

- A Certified Mental Health Counseling Practitioner (non-licensed)  
- A published co-author providing tools to transform despair into destiny
